File this blog post under “LATE” as well. A month or two back we headed to Avila Beach to meet up with Annie’s mom and decided to try out this new-to-us restaurant called Ocean Grill. We’ll cut right to the nitty gritty, the restaurant is awesome. The décor, the views, the food, and the service were all fantastic the day we were there and we were quite fortunate to get a warm, blue sky day in Avila.
Here’s what we ordered:
Crispy Calamari – Coconut Chili Sauce, Cilantro Aioli, Grilled Lemon, Green onion – $13
Carne Wood Fired Pizza – Pepperoni, Fennel Sausage, Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce – $17
Local Rockfish Tacos – Tomatillo Crème Fraiche, Avocado Puree, Cilantro, Shredded Cabbage – $15
The food was great. It’s another one of those spots I wish were closer to us here in Paso Robles but I guess that just gives us the excuse to head to Avila more often. If you haven’t been, check them out. Well worth it. Side note, they had a really cool bar too but we had Sammy with us so did not sit there.
