Adalaida Cellars is one of those wineries in the Paso Robles area with a reputation for good wine, so we went with a few good friends of ours! We got there in the Uncorked Wine Tours bus (awesome ride) and tasted through their list. They’re in the “Far Out” group of wineries and are just have good wines. They have a neat spot, nestled under the trees and vineyards, and the site is a great place for a picnic. They have Rhone wines, and other varietals as well, along with some blends for you to taste. We really liked their White Rhone blend “Version”, and the “Version” Red Rhone blend. (Have you noticed that we like Rhones yet?) The tasting room itself is comfortable, but it took the guy behind the counter a while to warm up to our group…we really had to work him, but he came around.

that van reminds me of childhood vacations to see family in Houston. I was probably 5-8 on those trips. We didn’t stop at any wineries. Granted, there aren’t really any wineries between Atlanta and Houston, and I was a small child, but still…

Hey Joe…yeah, I can see the nostalgia factor, but the wine would make the family road trip a lot more fun, even if you were just a kid! 😉
