We’ve known Erick Cadena for a while now, and then it hit us…we should bring a sommelier on the blog to do guest appearances and discuss the industry with you, as well as with us. Erick is really knowledgeable about wine, and very casual and easy to talk to about it. Pretty much the approach we look for in people that school us on wine!
So, Erick is the GM at Villa Creek (one of our fave restaurants in Paso Robles) and became a somm in 2009. We’ll let Erick and the video do the talking, but keep an eye out for his regular appearances, discussing industry topics as well as answering any questions that you throw his way.
Let us know what you think!! And thanks, Erick!!

Erick’s a good guy, great job. Hey, if you ever want to get some more culinary insight on your blog, the oldest guy at Culinary School would be glad to participate. By the way, that was me…I’ve got good stories…

Oh ya, most of it. It was very eye opening since most of my classmates were 18-20 years old…One of my classmates was Bill Cosby’s Daughter. I’ll save the rest for the “official” interview :)…
