We’re talking about Via Vega Winery here.
Talk about interesting! The theme is “day of the dead”; which may seem odd but it totally works. You taste their wines in the huge warehouse style room, surrounded by day of the dead paraphernalia, a huge (HUGE) screen (projection style) which they will play sports and movies on, and if you’re lucky you may be there on a day where they’re using their BBQ or pizza oven to grill up some tasty treats.
We always find something at a winery that intrigues us and the day of the dead is such a fascinating part of the culture in Mexico. The wines are tasty and the people are great! You’ll likely get to go on a “walk-about” if Larry, the owner and winemaker is in the house…or get to chat with his wife, April while she pours you some user-friendly red wine. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
