This was a fun spot! Steve and Pam Lock owners of Ecluse Winery, were in the tasting room and while Steve poured us through his substantial list of wines, it showed right away that he loves talking wine. He shared a lot of interesting information about his winemaking processes and even gave us a couple of barrel samples. His added excitement might have been from a recent win in the S.F. Chronicle Wine Competetion, they tied with Thacher Winery for “Best Red” out of 5,050 wines. (Ecluse won with their 2008 Cab Sauv and Thacher tied with their 2008 Zin.)
A beautiful location where you’ll get to taste a lot of great wines, poured by the winemaker himself! A great experience, indeed!
