Wine creates a feeling. It’s more than just a beverage…it’s more than just a glass of juice…it’s an experience, but only if you let it be. Seriously, how many times have you been out and about socially and had a conversation about how interesting Bud Light is? When have you talked about what food might taste good with a cold Coke?
Pour yourself a nice glass of some wine, whatever sounds good, close your eyes, smell it, think about it, take a taste, and see where it takes you. Likely you’ll pull up some sort of emotional attachment or be reminded of a specific meaningful experience.
They say that the olfactory sense is linked to the place where memories are stored in the brain, which means that when you smell stuff, you’ll attach that to a memory or experience. Maybe something triggers a memory of your Grandmother baking cookies, or the smell of the garage where you helped your father work on the car, or even a house full of family and friends, gathered to celebrate a Holiday meal.
Wine is what you let it be; it can take you on a journey. It can be the catalyst for an awesome new experience that you’ll look back on and smile. Looking at the art on the label, going through the ritual of opening the bottle and then pouring a glass, the swirling and sniffing, then taking in the aromas and finally, tasting it!
We’ve shared some pretty spectacular moments together that were centered around wine. We’ve sought out specific wines in an effort to relive specific experiences, and we’ve hunted down bottles that we just knew would make our special moment that much better!

Well very said, you took the words out of my mouth. Wine is special, and educational, people who don’t like wine need to spread their wings and try it and learn how it’s grown, region, and the hard work put into making the best tasting wines around. This is my passion as it is yours, to learn as much as I can about wine. Thanks for the journey….Happy Trails to You…. Cheers!

Right on, Bev…we talk about this all the time, that wine is so much more than just a drink but only if you let it be. It can be anywhere from some cheap juice to the best thing you’ve ever tasted…it’s art! We love wine, we love you, and cheers!!!
