The Paso Robles Wine Festival is quite possibly the largest and most well-known wine event in the area, featuring the glorious and delicious wines that the Paso Robles AVA has to offer. The event is put on every year by the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance (PRWCA) and 2011 was the 29th year that the festival has rocked the downtown park! With somewhere around 90 wineries pouring for over 4,500 guests, this event is the shiz!
The PRWCA is an awesome one-stop shop for everything Paso wine…their site has all the scoop on the area wineries, the growers, tasting rooms, and events. Whatever your wine fancy, they’ve got something that you’re sure to dig. Check them out and plan your next wine tasting trip.
We caught up with Chris Taranto at the wine festival, who’s in charge of promoting these kinds of things for the PRWCA. Chris’ mission in life is to sell Paso Robles as the wine mecca and travel destination that it really is. This guy was non-stop at the event! He was all over the place, coordinating, fixing, and planning every last detail to ensure a great event. As you all may know, we have a sort of similar mission; to let as many people as possible know how proud and excited we are to live in one of the best wine regions in the world.
Why Paso Robles? Why the Paso Robles Wine Festival? Why PRWCA? We’ll let you figure all of that and more out as you listen to what Chris has to say about all of those topics, plus a little extra about his stylish ‘do! Check it out…
