Two great things happened at Wine Fest in Paso Robles this year, it was not 105 degrees and
we got several awesome interviews, including this one with Steve Lohr of J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines.
When we made it over to their booth it was, as usual, crowded with people tasting and chatting.
They actually had what looked to be a double booth, which was a good thing to help spread the people out. If you don’t know anything about J. Lohr you really should take a look at their website to learn some of their history, as well as their belief in sustainability.
The other great thing about J. Lohr, is the extensive list of wines they carry. With so many
wines, everyone is sure to find something they like. So take a look at the interview and let us know what you think. Steve called Annie “Amy” a couple of times which is kind of ironic, Hoot called her Amy for the first two years they were together…as they say, “it happens”.

Wow, J Lohr our favorite we have a bottle once a week, love it. Sustainable wine is the Best! So Annie when did you tell him your not Amy?
Hoot (or Matt) says
Hey Bev, gotta love the J. Lohr selection!! Not sure that we corrected Steve on the name, being right near their booth when we did the interview, it was pretty loud so we let it be. We just appreciated the opportunity to chat with him, great family legacy in the wine biz. Cheers Bev!!

Steve is a cutie and so young… True no point in correcting hi about you name, the next time you meet up with him you’ll probably be introduced again. So is Matt in San Jose on business, seen it on FB?
Hoot (or Matt) says
Hey Bev, Annie is in San Jose on business, I just tagged along…sometimes it’s nice to get away fora couple of days and focus on other things you know??

Love J. Lohr wines – versatility and variety. How cool to meet Steve Lohr and have an interview with him – I am jealous. I cannot wait to visit the Paso Robles Wine Region on our August trip.
Hoot 'n Annie says
Hi Renee, completely agree with you on the J. Lohr wines! And yes, pretty cool to be able to talk with Steve Lohr, he’s got a lot of great information and some cool family history in the wine biz! They’ve definitely got the equation figured out over there…and we’re happy to partake in the wine!!!
