Yes, we consider this an adventure.
Going to the movie theater wouldn’t seem like an adventure to most but to people like us it most certainly is! Why? Well, we’re glad you asked…we struggle to sit still for two hours therefore in the past five years we have only been to two movies and that was only because we were with people that pushed us to go with them, but when you leave Hoot n Annie alone, the movie theater just isn’t on the agenda.
So the adventure was going to watch a movie at the theater alone for the first time in our life together. Annie picked the movie The Descendants and Hoot buckled into the theater seat for the two hour escapade with popcorn, Hot Tamales, and water.
Why This Adventure Could be Stressful
What if we get bored? What if we need to go to the bathroom we won’t be able to pause it? What if someone in the theater has a dumb laugh or talks too much? What if there’s a kid kicking the back of my chair of a tall dude in front of me blocking my view? How do people deal with all the stress of going to the theater?
Turns out there was no stress on this adventure and the two of us were able to sit together quietly and watch the entire movie. It was actually fairly enjoyable and it was nice to escape into the dark cave of a theater and be absent from the world for a bit. Anyways…the point here is to do those things that aren’t always necessarily top on the list and that you may view in a negative light…but without having all the information you just don’t know.
Who knows if we’ll go to the theater again but if and when we decide to do it again it will have a far more enjoyable feeling attached to it than it did before. We did it! We dispelled the mystery!

Pass the Hot Tamales please! Need a bucket of popcorn just for little ole me… I don’t go often, not due to being able to sit for two hours, not many movies right now to pull me there…
Glad you two enjoyed…

Passing the Hot Tamales Denise…LOL. I know I just struggle to sit for two hours, I just feel the urge to get up and go do this or that…getting better the older I get but still not easy! We enjoyed some great movie popcorn too, good times!! 🙂

I have the same “fears” about going out to a movie theatre. Adding to that, the fear of wasting time and the possibility of getting head lice off the back of the head rest!!! Bet you’ll think about THAT one if you ever go again !!
Sorry….

LOL…nice Monica!! Hadn’t thought about the head lice thing but certainly will now. My biggest concerns were always getting so damn anxious that I would need to walk out…I would also rather be out and be active versus just sitting around. Cheers Mo!
