I dislike long titles but this is an adventure, and against my better judgment I left it…so there.
There was actually nothing funny that happened at all on the way home from the Chardonnay Symposium we went to recently. Regardless of this we needed an adventure and decided to stop in San Luis Obispo in order to feed Mama Annie and Little Browne…and get me something to drink other than wine. After drinking wine I like beer and after drinking beer I like wine…or vodka…it’s complicated.
An Adventure in Food and Ambiance
So we ended up at Palazzo Giuseppe’s in downtown SLO, we’ve been here a couple times before but never told you about it…until now. As per our Hoot ‘n Annie usual we sat up at the bar because service is typically better at the bars and to top it off we’re not much on “formal dining”. To be truthful I’m not much on anything with the word “formal” involved.
They’ve got a great bar and good menu for sure, we ended up sharing the Calamari and Rock Shrimp Frito appetizer as well as this huge tower of bread, meat, avocado, lettuce, egg, tomato, and Lord knows what else…otherwise known as a Club Sandwich! The food was awesome!! I love the vibe in this place too, the paint colors they chose and the lights are funky and I actually want to buy that art hanging on the wall, the one of the martini glass…feel free to donate some cash so we can go get it!
Bottom line, this is another great gem in SLO County…put it on your list for places to check out when you’re hanging out in SLO or cruising through and you need some food…or a cocktail!
After we mowed down all that food we headed over to one of our favorite furniture stores called Luna Rustica. This place is super cool, they carry this rustic Mexican style of furniture…iron, rustic wood, cool stain colors or paint, and super distressed…we love that look!! We were plotting what pieces would look good in our new house…which will hopefully be happening sooner than later; Mama Annie needs to start nesting!
It was a pretty cool day, that’s what I love about our life together (Annie and I), we always find a way to throw a little adventure in…and that my friends…is what this is ALL about! What was your last adventure??
