Four years ago today Annie and I got married on the sand in Pismo Beach…and I remember it like it was yesterday!
I could avoid all the corny, mushy stuff but that just wouldn’t be fun. There is truly something amazing about finding your best friend and being able to marry that person, and that’s what I did on August 1, 2008. The week of our wedding was an absolutely amazing week…family, friends, food, wine, laughter, and more memories than you could shake a stick at (not sure why you’d shake a stick at memories but hey, different strokes), and the best part is that this has been the norm in our time together.
We don’t limit fun to Friday and Saturday. We don’t work for the weekend. We don’t follow all of the rules. We strive every day to live the life that we envision…sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t, but that what this adventure is all about to us…experiments. If you’re not experimenting, you’re not living. Our goal has been to push ourselves past where we think we can go, live outside the box, and explore; in our estimation that’s where we grow and learn and make some kick ass memories.
Our life together has been enhanced by our amazing group of family and friends (online and off line), you guys have been more supportive and awesome than I thought was possible. The positivity and laughter you give us I can only hope we have returned to you. Corny eh?? I don’t care, sometimes you have to say what you feel, so it’s out there and so people know…if we keep our words inside they don’t do anyone any good.
So with that, I will leave you with this…thank you to everyone that has been part of this journey of ours, it has been an honor (and sometimes a pain in the ass depending on who you are, but those are growing times too) to have you along for the ride and we hope to see you on this next adventure with Little Browne.
To Annie, even when I don’t show it you amaze me every single day with your support of me following my crazy dreams, acceptance of my wackiness, persistence, your ability to drive through to the other side, your patience, your willingness to be there always, and now to see this love you have for little dude coming along…pretty amazing to be a witness to all this, so thank you and Happy Anniversary. Can’t wait for the next experiment!!
From the heart. To the heart.
Wonderful piece and peace to you both with great love to you both on this great anniversary day!
