Towards the end of Annie’s pregnancy when she didn’t feel like cooking and we obviously didn’t feel like going out much, we started using this food delivery service called Menu Club. I’m not sure where Annie stumbled across it but there are a few things that stand out to me about this service.
1) The number of restaurants that we can order from
2) The fact that it is delivered to your door
3) The charge for this service is minimal ($6.00 delivery charge per restaurant within the inner city of Paso Robles)
There are about 23 restaurants in the Paso Robles Menu Club ranging from sushi, to burgers, to Mexican food, to pizza and sandwiches. Check out their website for a list of restaurants!
We’ve used the service enough over the past three and a half months that I can tell you we have never had a messed up order or demolished bags or food carriers. The delivery folks have always been very kind, which is huge to me; nothing worse than a delivery person that has a chip on their shoulder (well, truth be told there is nothing worse than any person with a chip on their shoulder). We’ve had a couple of instances where they were a bit late but from what we found out it was due to the restaurant not the delivery service.
Sometimes it’s nice to be able to sit in the comfort of your own home while eating from one of your favorite restaurants. It really came along at the right time for us…it would have gotten really old ordering from Dominos four times a week. So there you have it, check them out if you haven’t. If you don’t live in Paso Robles, see if your local area has a service like this and take the night off from your kitchen.
What unique food services have you run across??
Paso Robles tidbits:
I get lots of emails every week about things happening in our area and I was thinking it would be good to pass that info along to you so you could see all that happens here in Paso.
This link will take you to events happening at Vina Robles Winery
This link will take you to January Highlights for Studios on the Park (an art studio across from the Paso Robles Downtown Park)
This link will take you to an article I wrote for TravelPaso listing events for the 46 West Wineries group
And if there is any other info regarding Paso Robles, wineries, events, or anything else you can think of that you’d like to know or have listed on our site let me know. Thanks!!
Bet they don’t go out to “Hostage Ranch”!! Good to know, though, for when we finally buy a REAL house in a REAL neighborhood!! ^,^*
LOL…I’m not sure if they do or don’t but I would imagine they do not. It’s just a cool deal because of the variety of food you can get!
Sounds like a handy service! I’ve seen a few things like that around us but they don’t seem to offer the variety of this one.
Lots of people have told me that about their area, David. We got lucky, this one here seem to open up right when we needed them. It’s been a great experience here!!
