Last week we had the chance to go check out these two new places here in Paso Robles. It actually ended up being two birds, one stone because we found out that Fundaro’s FoodStream would be parking their Streamline at Paso Robles Brewing and Pour House for the evening so we could get great beer as well as awesome food.
I enjoyed the brewery quite a bit. The vibe was mellow and casual; it had a little bit of that Cheer’s feel to it. I also thought they had a great beer selection. There were a couple of beers on the list actually made by Paso Robles Brewing Company. While there I had the Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Lagunitas Pilsner, Alesmith Anvil ESB, and Big Sky Moosedrool Brown. Just go check it out, it’s a great beer list and cool spot to hang out.
Fundaro’s FoodStream is owned by Tom Fundaro, Chef at Villa Creek Restaurant here in Paso Robles and I think it’s cool that he got into the food truck game with an old Streamline. Annie ordered a few dishes and I will let her explain those…we had Smoked Chicken Gumbo with Andouille Sausage and Grilled Shrimp, a Spinach Salad with Apples, Smoked Chicken, and Candied Nuts, and of course, we couldn’t pass up the “Poutine” which is French Fries smothered in Gravy and topped off with homemade Ricotta Cheese!
The folks at Paso Robles Brewing and Pour House as well as the two guys on the FoodStream were awesome. Great customer service, great beer, and awesome food led to us having a memorable Thursday evening last week.
