Villa Creek Restaurant in downtown Paso Robles has long been a favorite of ours. We’ve been bellying up to that bar for about seven years now and if those walls could talk…well…I’m glad they can’t. It has a cool, laid back bar vibe and we’ve always been friends with the bartenders and staff. Cool peeps and it’s a full bar, not just another beer and wine only spot.
I know I’ve written about this joint before but I’m freshening up the content with this new series I started, “Where to Eat”.
So here goes…this place is great for a couple looking for a romantic spot in the dining area, a group wanting to enjoy each other’s company, or if you’re looking for that bar scene jump on in. Their bar has an attached patio which is right on Pine St., across from the park. That always offers great people watching.
Here’s what we ate:
– The infamous Guacamole, Roasted Ancho Chile Salsa, and Chips
– Carnitas Tacos, Papaya Mustard Seed Salsa, Creme Fraiche (we’ve had these more times than I can count)
– Asparagus and English Pea Salad, Quinoa, Mint, Feta, Green Garlic Vinaigrette
These items are off the bar menu and price is quite reasonable to me. They have a great dinner menu as well but we tend to snack off the bar menu most of the time.
Downtown Paso Robles has a lot to offer the food lovers out there, and this has continued to be a regular spot with us for a long time. Maybe we’ll see you in the bar…if so, don’t be shy…buy us a drink!
