Hey look at me go. Another post that has nothing to do with wine, beer, or food. I wanted to touch on two organizations that I’m super impressed with. Not only is the cause awesome but the people leading the charge in these groups have their ‘stuff’ together.
The first group you’ve heard me talk about before. It’s a local charity here in the north county of San Luis Obispo called must! charities. Any local business (individuals as well) should take a look at their website and see what their current projects are as well as who else has joined the cause. It’s an amazing group of people and businesses, one I am glad to be part of.
One of must! charities current projects is Real Food for Real Children. This project ties in with another group that I wanted to mention, No Kid Hungry. No Kid Hungry has a goal to end childhood hunger. While must! charities is a local group solving problems (they work on different projects at the same time), No Kid Hungry is a national group trying to impact the future by fixing one of the saddest issues we face.
I write about both of these groups to let you know they are both extremely worthy of any time or money you can give. One is local to me for those that follow along that want to give specifically to this area. The other is national for those that believe in the cause and want to help that way. The main point is we can all help, we can all give. And I think kids are a great way to start. As we know, they are the future after all.
So please go check out must! charities as well as No Kid Hungry. A side note on No Kid Hungry, they are in the midst of a campaign to get people to sign up in their 4th of July campaign called ‘Help America Declare Independence From Childhood Hunger’.
That’s all I’ve got for today. I sincerely appreciate any help, involvement, or shares of this that you can give. Cheers, and thank you!
