As long as I have known of L’Aventure Winery and Stephan, I’ve only heard great things. I have not had much of any interaction with Stephan personally but I have never heard a bad word spoken about him. We do know his daughter, Chloe, and if she is any sign of who her parents are, you know they are good people.
So again, congratulations to Stephan and to his efforts to support and promote his winery and Paso Robles on a whole.

Matt: What does an award like this mean, especially because it comes from your peers?
Stephan: For me, this award means that I am integrated and part of this beautiful community, a little bit like the “old generation” 🙂
Matt: What was one of the biggest reasons you chose Paso Robles as the new wine region you wanted to make wine in?
Stephan: Terroir and freedom.
Matt: If you could describe your philosophy on wine making in one sentence, what would that be?
Stephan: If I learned something after 35 years making wine and 17 years in Paso, it is to make the wine of your terroir!!!! Estate Cuvee is the best example of that…
