Are you noticing that we eat a lot? I am…and I’m okay with that. Another recent dining experience was at Thomas Hill Organics. Although we’ve been there many times this time was a bit different for me. There menu seems to have changed a bit and in my opinion, they seem to be pushing the “unique” factor. I don’t mean anything bad by that, being unique is great. The menu just seemed a little more “big city” than Paso.
And I repeat, there is nothing bad about that at all I’m just noticing trends like this. Here’s what we ordered:
Black Lentil Tacos – Carrot Puree, Candied Jalapenos, Pickled Watermelon, Cilantro, Cashews $12.00
Di Stefano Burrata – Arugula, Anjou Pear, Shaved Prosciutto, Blood & Navel Oranges, Crostini, Basil, Balsamic Reduction, Toasted Almonds $17.00
The tacos were quite interesting. I’ve not had much carrot puree but it was so good. All the flavors worked seamlessly together. If you’re looking for a huge, meat taco this is not your dish…BUT…if you’re into something unique with many great flavors coming together to melt in your mouth, this is your dish!
The burrata plate was really good as well. Loved all the fruit mixed with the burrata (can you ever go wrong with burrata?). Combine the pear and prosciutto…how can you not enjoy this plate? Annie and I shared these two plates along with a couple of drinks and had a very enjoyable time at the Thomas Hill bar.
Speaking of their bar, I must say that it is one of my favorites when it comes to vibe and look. It’s just a cool bar. If you haven’t been in be sure to check it out and let me know what you think.
