Pianetta Winery will be teaming up with Honor Flight of the Central Coast once again on a new, limited release wine. A portion of the income from this wine will be donated directly to Honor Flight Central Coast of California.
John Pianetta, winemaker, owner and fellow Navy veteran of Pianetta Winery handcrafted a special blend “TRIBUTE” to help with the Honor Flight cause. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah will be sold through Pianetta Winery and 30% of the $42 sale price of the wine will be donated to the Honor Flight Central Coast of California.
There were only 22 cases made of the “TRIBUTE” wine, and each bottle was hand labeled by board members of the Honor Flight program, Pianetta employees, and most importantly, the poster child on the label, 95 year old Flying Tiger, Harry Moyer.
RELEASE PARTY
The “TRIBUTE” wine will have a release party on the evening of April 1st 2016 at the Pianetta Winery Tasting Room in downtown Paso Robles from 5pm-8pm. Light appetizers and tasting will be offered, and the opportunity to purchase “Tribute” wine. Also check out the movie “Tour of Honor” which was created as a documentary about the Honor Flight Experience. This one of a kind movie will also be available for purchase through Honor Flight Central Coast.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Central Coast Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
Pianetta Winery is a small family owned winery with a strong connection to military members.
