We recently made it into Lusso Della Terra Cellars wine tasting room in downtown Paso Robles on 13th Street. First thing I noticed was how cool and comfortable the tasting room. It’s a large space for a downtown business and they’ve done a great job making it an enjoyable place to hangout.
Megan, co-owner, was behind the counter and poured us through the following line-up:
2014 Chardonnay (Clone 809, Sonoma Coast) $24.00
2009 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) $15.00
2013 Reserve Chardonnay (Alexander Valley) $35.00
2015 Rose of Merlot (Paso Robles) $25.00
2013 Reserve Pinot Noir (Paso Robles) $54.00
2012 Reserve Sangiovese (Paso Robles) $39.00
2012 Reserve Zinfandel (Paso Robles) $42.00
2012 Petit Verdot (Paso Robles) $49.00
2012 Terzetto (Paso Robles) $54.00
It was an interesting line-up of wines. The ones I enjoyed most were the 2013 Reserve Chardonnay, 2015 Rose of Merlot, 2013 Reserve Pinot Noir, and the 2012 Reserve Sangiovese.
It’s definitely a place worth checking out if you haven’t been. They do live music on Saturdays from 6-9pm where they provide wine by the glass and bottle. Megan also told us about wine and paint events they do on Sundays from 1-4pm-ish. For $45 you get to do the painting thing but you also get wine and food. Sounds like some pretty cool things going on there.
Thank you again to Megan!
