We recently took our very first trip to Windrose Farm in Paso Robles for the Heirloom Tomato Festival. Thanks to Lynette Sonne from Farmstead ED for the invite…it was magical. Truly, if you haven’t been to Windrose Farm you must add it to your go-to list.
It was a family-friendly event so we took Sammy with us and enjoyed roughly 40 different varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We also enjoyed one helluva burger, some wines from Ali of 15C Wine Shop in Templeton, and cruising around the farm to check out the operation. Sammy loved the open space, tomatoes, and of course, the tractors.
There really isn’t a lot more for me to add. I think the photos I took from the event tell the whole story. Check them out in the slideshow below. Thank you again to Lynette from Farmstead ED, Ali from 15C, and without question, a big thank you to the owners of Windrose Farm, Bill and Barbara Spencer.
