I don’t even know where to start with this place. It’s located in Arroyo Grande and we had heard good things from a few people including Annie’s mom. We recently dropped Sammy off for an overnight with Grandma (otherwise known as Graham Cracker…don’t ask) we decided to make Mason Bar & Kitchen one of our stops.
The vibe is super cool. You’ll see what I mean in the photos below. It’s a combination of rustic, industrial, and laid back. The people were awesome. Our bartender and the other folks in there were very nice, helpful, and friendly.
We were on somewhat limited time so we didn’t eat a bunch of food off the menu but we did order the Lobster Corn Dogs (cold water tail meat, carnival batter, creole remoulade – $14) and Smoked Pork Tacos (house made corn tortillas, charred pepper salsa, local cabbage – $14). Both dishes were insanely good, I would happily order either (both) again. The tacos were nuts though. The corn tortillas were unlike any I’ve had before.
Bottom line on this one…I wish they were located in Paso Robles because it’s just that good.
