Around every corner, we’re seeing things happen in this beautiful area that show we are really growing, expanding, and exploring new things. When I moved to Paso Robles in 2003 there was no Cider Festival. Hell, I don’t even recall there being any place making cider (I could be wrong on that one, chime in if I am). That said, cider is blowing up on the Central Coast and the 2nd Annual Central Coast Cider Festival is coming up on Saturday, May 13 (5-8 pm).
There will be an amazing group of cider companies at this event including Scar of the Sea, Hemly Cider, Meraki Hard Cider, Bristols Cider, Red Branch Cider Co., Reef Points, Dreamcote, Tin City Cider Co., Jean Marie Cidery, Santa Cruz Scrumpy, 101 Cider House, Santa Cruz Cider Co., Gopher Glen Apple Farm, South City Cider Works, Half Pint Ciders, and more.
When was the last time you had that many ciders at your fingertips?
If that weren’t enough, there will also be live music by Erin & The Earthquakes along with an English pig roast dinner prepared by local chef, Jeffery Scott. All of this goodness will be held at the beautiful Atascadero Pavilion on the Lake (and get this, there’s actually water in the lake).
So, let’s recap:
You get to taste from over 15 cider companies.
Live music by Erin & The Earthquakes.
Food from Chef Jeffery Scott.
All of this at a beautiful venue in Atascadero on a lake.
Do you need any other incentive? Well, I’ve got one for you. A ticket for all of the above is $65. Sounds super reasonable to me, especially when you look at the cost of entry to some other events in the area.
Learn more about the event here and you can buy tickets here. You can also visit their Facebook event page here.
