There’s a lot going on at Allegretto Vineyard Resort. Some may even consider it a one stop shop. You can stay at the resort, enjoy their full-service resort spa, lounge by the pool, dine in their restaurant (Cello Ristorante & Bar), play bocce ball, and so much more. That said, when we recently stopped in we decided to check out Allegretto Wines prior to stopping in their restaurant for a snack.
That’s right, they also make wine as well. The tasting room is past the lobby to the left and looks out on their beautiful courtyard. Annie and I have been fortunate to be able to stay their before and enjoy one of the fire tables in the courtyard…amazing spot.
Let’s get down to business, here’s what we tasted:
2015 Duetto (Co-fermenting Viognier with Vermentino) Allegretto Vineyard $29.00
2015 Chardonnay – Paso Robles $34.00
2014 Viognier – Bella Colina Vineyard $35.00
2016 Rose of Tannat – Allegretto Vineyard $25.00
2014 Malbec – Allegretto Vineyard $42.00
2015 Tannat – Allegretto Vineyard $55.00
2013 Zinfandel – Loma Linda Vineyard $35.00
2013 Cabernet Sauvignon – Willow Creek Vineyard $68.00
2014 Cabernet Sauvignon – Willow Creek Vineyard $75.00
It’s a nice, diverse line-up of wines and John, the gentleman that poured for us, was quite the character. He had a nice combination of knowledge and humor, which always makes a wine tasting more pleasurable.
We enjoyed the Duetto, Rose, Malbec, Tannat, and the 2013 Cab. Like I said, a very nice line-up of wines at a stunning venue in Paso Robles. Once you partake in a wine tasting be sure to check out their restaurant. We’ve had some amazing food there. Now get out there and explore!
