Two Moons Cellars is a collaboration between John Gleason and Neil Roberts. I don’t remember when I first heard of their venture but once they opened a tasting room we knew we had to go check them out. It’s located on Ramada Dr. here in Paso Robles, on the east side of Highway 101. I didn’t get any photos of the facility but it’s a cool little industrial spot with some outdoor seating as well.
Here’s what we tasted:
2013 Aporia (50% Marsanne 50% Grenache Blanc) $28.00
2013 Elan (100% Chenin Blanc) $28.00
2012 Angst (60% Grenache 20% Mourvedre 20% Syrah) $56.00
2012 Ardor (60% Mourvedre 30% Syrah 10% Grenache) $56.00
2014 Quandary (80% Syrah 10% Grenache 10% Mourvedre) $60.00
We really enjoyed all of the wines. As people that drink a lot of white wine and love varieties like Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, and Chenin Blanc…they nailed it. The 2012 Angst was probably my favorite red wine but each of the reds were excellent. Learn more about this great new winery here and be sure to get in there and check them out. This is one we can definitely give our stamp of approval to!
