We recently met up with our friend Stacie for food and drink at The Hatch. I have to say, we absolutely love this restaurant but over the last handful of months we just haven’t made it in as much as we’d like. The owners, Eric and Maggie, are awesome folks that are doing a fantastic job with this spot. If you’ve never been, go now. If you have been, go again.
Here’s what we shared:
Chips and Dip – Sea salt & vinegar chips, pimento cheese $11.00
Albacore Crudo – Avocado, radish, citrus $14.00
Gnocchi – Butternut squash, fried sage, hazelnut, squash fondue $18.00
Little Gem Salad – Pecorino, garlic breadcrumbs, lemon anchovy dressing $12.00 Add rotisserie chicken $4.00
Meatloaf – 64° egg, house ketchup, oven dried tomato $16.00
Regarding the food, I’m a sucker for their pimento cheese and order it almost every time we go. The albacore crudo is absolutely amazing. The last time we were there with our kid, Sammy, he thought it was so good that he ate one and a half orders of it. The gnocchi was legit. I liked that there was a bit of a crust on them. The salad, first time having this but it was sort of similar to the old chicken Caesar salad they had. Really good! And the meatloaf, we’ve had it a few times but for some reason, this night, was incredible.
A great night of food, friends, and drinks. As per the usual, they nailed it.
