On our way back from a recent field trip over to Cayucos we decided to stop by J. Dusi. I don’t know what it is about this spot but I always feel so relaxed while there. It really is a gem in Paso Robles. The property is great, the wines are amazing, and so is the staff and the story behind the Dusi family. You can read a small history of the vineyard and family here.
You can see their available wines here and I can let you know that we always enjoy the Pinot Grigio but on this visit we especially enjoyed the 2016 The Don (50% Cabernet Sauvignon 37% Sangiovese 13% Petite Sirah), 2016 SLY (40% Tempranillo 31% Grenache 29% Syrah), and the 2016 Zinfandel.
Anyways…this one is short and sweet. It serves as more of a reminder that J. Dusi Wines is a great local spot. Grab a picnic and some friends and go enjoy their patio (if the rain ever stops), I can guarantee you won’t regret it.
