It’s been quite some time since we’d eaten at Niner Wine Estates. For those that did not know, yes, they have a restaurant. In fact, it’s one we have thoroughly enjoyed the few times we had eaten there before. It’s a beautiful property and the restaurant (inside and out) has stunning views of Heart Hill and vineyards.
Here’s what we ate:
Shrimp Etouffee – creole oat prawns, Cajun trinity, jasmine rice and fried sage. $23.00
Burrata Plate – whole burrata with kitchen selected accompaniments. $16.00
Pan Seared Scallops – celery root puree, carrots, mustard greens, chicory, shaved celery root, lemon rind. $26.00
You can check out their current menus, here.
I wouldn’t be writing this if we didn’t have a good experience. We arrived just before the restaurant opened so we did a quick wine tasting, which was pleasant. Once seated, outside on the patio, of course…our waiter was on top of things. He was funny and informative which is always a nice combo.
With his help we decided on the three dishes listed above and they were each amazing. I can’t pick a favorite but that shrimp was so good, I’d go back for that alone. So, just an overall great experience. Another excellent spot to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the rolling hills of Paso Robles wine country. Thank you to the staff at Niner Wine for a good time on a Sunday afternoon.
