If you are unfamiliar with the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation (PRYAF) you are truly missing out on yet another gem here in Paso. Here’s some wording from their website:
“Our mission is to enrich the lives of area youth with FREE after-school classes in the visual and performing arts in a safe, nurturing environment.
PRYAF is a public nonprofit organization and was founded in 2001 by Donna Berg. We provide over 300 students ages 5–18 with over fifty weekly classes and serve over 1,200 students annually. As we grow, our waiting list gets longer and our financial needs grow as well. We need the community to see how important PRYAF has become and how necessary it is to help it continue being the unique facility it is. We do not receive any government funding and rely entirely on donations, community gifts and private or public funding. We thank you very much for your time and support!”
Our 6 ½ year old son, Sammy, is currently on his third session at PRYAF. He’s done two acting classes and one hip hop dance class and has enjoyed all of it. And to be fully transparent, Annie and I recently joined their marketing committee.
Okay, all of that aside, you need to grab your tickets to their next show, Tarzan, which starts tomorrow. Not only will you be thoroughly entertained but you will be supporting this amazing organization.
