The Estrella Warbirds Wines and Wheels 3rd Annual Car Show was just an overall sweet event. Wondering what we’re talking about? Well, it’s all about featuring cars; new and old, and planes; old and new, and bringing it all together at a memorial air field in Paso Robles. Oh yeah, add a bunch of people, some cool memorabilia, tasty food, and of course, Hoot ‘n Annie bartending!
This all went down and we had a very cool time. As you might have noticed, we spend a lot of time at wine events, wineries, restaurants, well you get the idea. This was a CAR SHOW!!! We were pretty stoked to spend the day here…after all, there were muscles, hips, and shiny things everywhere! And yes, we’re talking about the vehicles. From rows of every year and color of Corvette to crazy 4WDs perched up on huge boulders to imports, they had it ALL! This is one of those places that you can fire it up and let it rumble, and people actually dig it!
If you’ve ever stopped and stared as one of those really cool cars roll by you on the street, then this is one of those events that you need to check out. Just look….this was the end of the event, they were all rolling out, but you get the idea!

wow what a cool event, never a dull, boring moment in Paso Robles, you guys find where all the fun stuff thats happening in town. Thanks for sharing. Now it’s time for me to have a glass of red wine, relax and watch the video “Conviction”. Being unemployed I have lots of time on my hands, looking for jobs online, running errands, did two hours of boxing children’s pamplets for the church in Anaheim Hills which will go to differnt parts of the world like Nigeria, Panama, Mexico, Philippines, wish I was old enough to retire (six+ more years to go) or hit the lottery then I’d be in Paso Robles in a flash. 🙂 Cheers!

Good for you, Bev! That’s great that you spend some of your free time helping others…awesome! We seem to have a nose for action, so much so that we don’t have much down time…but it’s always a good time. Don’t work too hard, sounds like you’re doing a good job of filling your free time, too!!! Cheers!

Thanks Annie, I just finished watching “Conviction” the best true story ever, if you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it, not a dry eye for me, what an awesome sister to become a lawyer and fight 18 years to prove her brother’s innocence. A+ movie. Cheers!

Oh dear, Bev…wine and crying movies! Not sure that would be the best thing for me right now…well, the wine is for sure! hehehe. Glad you enjoyed it!!!

It’s okay Annie, the movie is a good cry sometimes we need a reality check for the unfortunate and how family stick together in hard times the brother and sister were close growining up, a good example of loyality and faith, awesome, awesome movie. God Bless the sister for perservering, and what good came from it. And she sued the state for wrongful conviction, I hope she and her brother got millions they deserved it.

I agree, Bev…sometimes a good cry is just the right thing! As long as the tears don’t drip in the wine! Hehehe…and LOVE the story of the sister standing up and fighting for her brother! We need more people like her in this world!

Ha! Reminds me of when I’d take my cranky toddler to the airport for HOURS – we would just hangout and we went to ALL the air shows 😉
With Robert Plant in the background? AWESOME!
Hoot 'n Annie says
NICE, Kris! Nothing like a bunch of planes and loud cars to drown out a cranky toddler! Plus, everything is better with Robert Plant! So, guess that means we’ll see you there next year? Not with a cranky toddler…but with your adultish almost-man-child? 😉
