Full Moon is the Star in Downtown Cayucos

You may have heard that we like wine…and you were right! Well, and we like food…and beer! So, as we were adventuring around at the coast, we sniffed out the perfect place. Full Moon Tasting Room, Wine Bar, & Bistro is situated right in the downtown of Cayucos, one of our favorite beach towns. Their tagline is “Wine with a View” and they’re not kidding! Full Moon is up on the second floor of a quaint building, and looks across the street to the beach. You can see the waves rolling in, and can’t miss the sunset while sipping on something delicious. 

There’s a Full Moon Rising

So, two lovely ladies, Jeanette and Mihaela paired up to open Full Moon back in 2009 with the mission of serving great wines, delicious bites, and other unique treats all while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere and a priceless view. From the second you walk into the joint, you’ll feel right at home…grab a seat at the bar or a high top and situate yourself so you can take it all in.

Full Moon is the perfect place hang out in downtown Cayucos. Sure, there are other places to go eat or drink, but if you’re looking for a comfortable spot with a homey atmosphere, this is the place. Before finding Full Moon, we hit up Schooners a little more often than I’d choose to admit, but this is an entirely different setup! They specialize in pulling in a lot of the small production wines from our area that you might not get a chance to taste in a tasting room. That’s a great way to showcase and support the little guys that are putting out a great product! The food is fresh, prepared right in front of your eyes, and everything we had was delicious and unique. This is one of those very cool experiences that pulls it all together, from the products being served to the people to the vibe and atmosphere.
