The start of spring in Paso Robles signifies, to me, the start of event season. It seems there is one thing after another from now until Harvest Festival in October. So let’s get started…here are some upcoming events:
Earth Day Food & Wine Festival (April 11-13) – An awesome event that we have attended multiple times and they always meet, and often exceed, expectation. This year the event will be at Castoro Cellars whereas in past years it was at Pomar Junction Winery.
Wine, Waves, and Beyond (April 30 – May 4) – We had not been to this event before but happened across it accidentally in 2012 and thought it was awesome. It has a great vibe and I’m sure that’s due to the combination of wine, the ocean, surfing, and so much more.
Paso Robles Wine Festival (May 15-18) – We’ve been to this one numerous times as well and it’s a great event for Paso Robles. Rather than go and attend the event we typically go sit across the street at Pappy McGregor’s and watch everyone go from sober to drunk. It’s good times and great people watching.
Paso Robles CAB Collective: CABs of Distinction (April 26) – We went last year and enjoyed it. It’s focused on Cabernet Sauvignon and their goal is to notify the world that Paso Robles is making world class Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals.
I know there are other things going on, some I am sure I’m just missing plus all the little micro events that individual wineries put on…like live music, a food truck, or whatever. My goal was just to remind everyone of these upcoming core Paso events.
We will definitely be at Earth Day but playing the other ones by ear. Nowadays Sammy dictates how many events we go to per year…so it goes. Are you going to any of these events? If so, hopefully we’ll see you there!
