Alta Colina had its grand unveiling of their new tasting room and winery this past Saturday for wine club members. We tagged along with Annie’s mom, who is a member, and got to check out their new digs.
As you may know, Alta Colina, prior to this new place, was said to have the smallest tasting room in Paso Robles. The new place is much bigger in comparison and includes a winery facility along with barrel room.
I think they did a great job. The exterior walls are rustic, metal and stone make up most of it. The brand new landscaping looks great and will only look better as it fills in. The interior is simple and well done. This place is perfect for Alta Colina and in my opinion, well deserved.
They threw a great party on Saturday. The layout was well done. Rather than everyone tasting at the main bar they had stations. You started right outside the front door, moved to the main bar, and from there to the winery and barrel room.
Congratulations to Maggie, Bob, and the entire Alta Colina family. Well done!
P.S. The menus they had for the day were hilarious. Hoping you can read them in the slideshow below.
