It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and we had some errands to run.  Fortunately, one of those errands was to return some promo literature to Ortman.  What did we do?  Well…we tasted, OF COURSE.

So, if you like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, hey, if you like wine…you’re gonna LOVE Ortman!  This is one of those places that just knows what they’re doing when it comes to the wine biz.  They should, after all, the founder, Chuck Ortman is known as Mr. Chardonnay!  Don’t like Chards, you say?  To hell with that!  You gotta try this…they do a few different styles; traditionally creamy with delicate oak, or bright and fruity done in stainless steel.

This is a family gig…father Ortman, and son Matt work together to put out some fantastic wines!  They put their all into their wines and put out some traditional wines, as well as some intriguing varieties.

The Ortman tasting room is conveniently located in downtown Paso Robles for your wine drinking pleasure…and it’s “green”.  By green, we mean that they built their tasting room with sustainable and earth friendly materials!  That means that not only do they know how to make good wine, but they’re aware of the fact that it’s important to support the environment around them where they nurture their grapes.

Thanks to Hollie and Teresa for a great time!
