If you look at our last blog post, you’ll see we went wine tasting with our winemaker friends, Amy and Lisa. Well, Levo Wines was our second stop on this adventurous day of imbibing. As many of you know, Levo is located in Tin City, the newest hot spot in Paso Robles.
Bret Urness, owner/ winemaker, is the man behind Levo and on this second visit of ours, he continues to show that he is a rising star in the Paso wine game. From outward appearances, he comes across as a laid back, low-key guy with a huge passion and a drive to make things happen. He’s also incredibly creative with his wine labels and the stories behind them…go in and find out for yourself.
Here’s what we drank:
2016 Flying Colors Rose (86% Grenache 7% Viognier 7% Grenache Blanc) $28.00
2015 White Noise (45% Grenache Blanc 31% Roussanne 24% Viognier) $33.00
2014 Grenache (90% Grenache 7% Petite Sirah 2% Syrah 1% Viognier) $39.00
2014 Syrah (100% Syrah) $39.00
2014 Petite Sirah (85% Petite Sirah 10% Grenache 3% Syrah 2% Viognier) $39.00
You can learn way more about each wine here, but if you want my simple opinion…his wines are great. You have absolutely no excuse to not go visit his tasting room…here info on when they’re open.
That’s it from me. Another cool spot in Paso. Go figure!
