The Paso Robles Wine Merchant is located in the Paso Market Walk on Spring Street. We’ve been to the Paso Market Walk many times and have enjoyed Momotaro Ramen, Just Baked (our kiddo Sammy likes cookies), Finca, and of course, the Paso Robles Wine Merchant. That said, we have never eaten at the Wine Merchant…well, we recently changed that.
Annie and I kept it simple and had:
California Cheese Board that serves two: Central Coast Creamery Gouda (goat), Shooting Star Creamery Sagittarius (sheep/ cow), Marin Extra Crème Brie (cow), artisanal crackers, jam, local honey, olives, marcona almonds, dried fruit $18
Morro Bay Pacific Gold Oysters half dozen $18 (we splurged and ordered a dozen)
I enjoyed a beer and then a glass of rosé, while Annie had a glass of sparkling and a glass of white wine.
I don’t know what it is, some places just have the vibe you’re looking for. We found that here. We also got to meet Justin, one of the owners. Very cool conversation and just an easy going guy. He and his wife are newer to the area, but they seem to have made a great niche for themselves. I’m always happy to see that.
There it is, short and sweet, go check them out. The Paso Wine Market has a great overall vibe and the Wine Merchant is a cool spot to sit and enjoy a little food and of course, wine!
