So little dude turned 15 months old yesterdayâ?¦where oh where does the time go? You donâ??t need to answer that, I know it passes like sand through our fingers (or something like that). Itâ??s been an interesting couple of weeks with Sammy, not only is his sign language continuing to get better and better but he also started â??walkingâ?. Well, he will take a couple of steps here and there but he still seems to dig crawling more as of now.
Although he would mumble words here and there, like mama or dada, I think his first word is hat. Heâ??ll say â??hatâ? and do the sign for hat at the same time and itâ??s usually in response to seeing someone with a hat on. Itâ??s pretty cool to see him putting things together, connecting the dots so to speak. Yesterday also marked an interesting new thingâ?¦the first time he ever went one entire day with only one nap. This could be a great new adventure so long where to get volume pills as it continues. Iâ??m a fan of the one nap thing at this point especially as he is doing better to entertain himself.
I think about how much of this I would be missing if I was still out running my painting company full time like I used to be. Iâ??m thankful (most of the time) that I get so much time with him by working at home. There are moments where I get frustrated because of the lack of â??me timeâ? but itâ??s all good. I honestly feel like itâ??s gotten easier as he has entered new stages. Even as I write this he is sitting in his ball pit with my calculator working on his taxes or somethingâ?¦not sure. Itâ??s cool though that I can have moments here and there where heâ??s not needing constant attention.
