Today, on the day that is 4 months from the day you were taken out of my belly and brought into this world; our world and our life, I want to tell you some things. Turns out this might be harder for me than I thought…the tears are already flowing! But, here goes…
You are the brightest light! You are the funnest part of my day, and sometimes the most difficult part of my day but that part doesn’t matter. Your toothless grin warms my heart and makes me smile from the inside out. Your endless cooing and chatter make absolute sense to me and I will never tire of hearing your voice. And OH my, your hands…those beautiful, tiny hands that grasp my fingers and caress them as I feed you, I could stare at your hands for hours. The monkey feet; your sweet little feet that grasp each other and any other thing that they come into contact with will likely help you to swing from the trees someday. You are the perfect addition to our family.
Your presence in our life has become almost completely natural and normal at this point. I’ll admit, the first couple of months were challenging, we were getting used to you and you were getting used to being in the world; two things that aren’t supposed to be all that easy at times. You see us now, you know us now, and we can see your presence and growing awareness, too. There’s a person in there behind those huge, beautiful blue eyes! I can see your wheels turning constantly as you take it all in, and I love it. You are the most amazing thing I have ever laid eyes on and I can’t wait to spend every day for the rest of my life with you and your Dad on this crazy adventure ride. Thank you for choosing us.
