You know, I use Twitter and I love it’s core premise. The problem: it is a haven for spammers and other “evil-doers”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not goiong to stop using it but I can easily see this making some people lose interest. It does get old when someone has 10 posts in a row, one on top of the next. Or when you get the DM’s talking about whiter teeth or click here if you want to make 6 figures a month doing nothing.
I’ve learned to use Twitter carefully, now granted, I only have 2,750 as of this posting but I have found a handful of core people that actually conversate about interesting things and respect one another. There is also another crowd of people I’m not “in” with yet but I really enjoy their tweets and the links often put into those tweets, very informative. People like @GuyKawasaki @ChrisBrogan @BobBurg @copyblogger @robbsutton @BradleyWill @JessicaGottlieb @LewisHowes and @webfugitive. These are folks that are putting out interesting content through Twitter and/ or their own blogs.
So the point is, just be aware that Twitter can come off as very cluttered, clear that out and there really are some awesome folks on there putting out great content and often times, they’re very willing to conversate/ interact with you. So, go give it a try and hit me up too, @MatthewLiberty. Thoughts??
