The spreading of information and ideas, along with conversation, is the only way to grow. There has been much conversation about Twitter, for example, becoming a big RSS feed and how that is a bad thing…really? Why is that bad? Twitter is not Facebook is not LinkedIn is not Google+…each one of these platforms is fundamentally different in its uses along with how they are used by us, the end users.
I post far more on Twitter than I do on any other platform due to the 140 character limit which forces more tweets to have a conversation. I also post more links on Twitter…because it seems to be a place where people go for information…I have heard numerous people talk about how they use Twitter to get their news and information.
On Facebook I don’t post as often, a few times or so a day, and I usually voice more of my thoughts and opinions on there…along with some links. On LinkedIn I research people and companies and post links as well….not usually more than 3 times a day do I post to LinkedIn. Google+ is still quite young but I tend to post there more than Facebook or LinkedIn, but not as much as Twitter.
So the conversation about Twitter this or Facebook that is essentially ridiculous…each individual has different needs and wants from these platforms as well as different ways of achieving those needs and wants…so live and let live. If somebody is offending you THAT much stop following them, it’s just that simple.
