I spend a lot of my time on the internet. That consists of social media, reading blogs and online news, researching, and writing. I’ve
noticed, as with everything, some people are super critical. With respect to motivation, being motivational, inspiration, and being inspirational; there are people that seem to really dislike the folks that are posting about these topics.
1) If you don’t like what people are posting don’t follow them.
2) The world is insane and angry, there’s nothing wrong with some motivational or inspirational content being posted.
3) I for one like the motivational stuff when I’m able to actually absorb it. I’m not always a happy guy and there are times it helps me, it lights that fire under my ass to get over myself and do something.
Aren’t there better things to be upset about? I don’t know…how about education, hunger, or corruption? Trust me, I have my moments where some of the abundance of motivational crap bugs me but I choose to ignore it and move on. I don’t include that in lists of things not to do on the social web.
My takeaway: Maybe the haters of motivational and inspirational stuff need it more than the rest of us.
