I had a really cool conversation the other day with someone that did not understand social media but wants to be involved (for his business) to some degree. We talked about a Facebook fan page and blogging, which I felt would be the most effective for his situation. The coolest times through the conversation were when you saw the light bulbs come on for him.
That’s the thing I’m learning more and more about myself, 1) that I really enjoy helping people, with anything that I can help with and 2) I genuinely gain as much, if not more, when I have successfully helped someone with something.
Turns out, all the corny crap you learn as a kid is true. Well much of it is. And I’m finding a comfort zone in that. Often times when I post something on Facebook I would preface it by saying, “I apologize for how corny this is but”, I don’t really feel the need to do that anymore. I’m comfortable with who I am and what I’m doing so what the hell right?
To wrap this up, I guess my random observation is that we are each truly the director of our own life (actions & attitude). So the best advice would be to be you, ALWAYS. It’s pretty effin fun!!
